摘要
Although research on the relationship between personality and knowledge sharing has received considerable attention, the existing conclusions are inconsistent. Using data from 66 studies, involving 22,622 individuals, we conducted a meta-analysis to examine the relationship between the Big Five and Dark Triad personality constructs, respectively, and knowledge sharing. The results indicated that agreeableness, conscientiousness, extraversion, emotional stability, and openness to experience were positively related to knowledge sharing, while Machiavellianism, psychopathy, and narcissism demonstrated a negative relationship with knowledge sharing. Overall, the Dark Triad personality constructs had lower predictive power than the Big Five personality constructs in explaining knowledge sharing. Moreover, extraversion accounted for the highest proportion of variance in knowledge sharing among the Big Five personality constructs, while Machiavellianism accounted for the highest proportion of variance among the Dark Triad personality constructs. In addition, collectivism rather than other national cultural values strengthened the positive relationship between openness to experience and knowledge sharing.
