摘要
The hydrolysis and esterification of the amides are summarized in this chapter. The catalytic hydrolysis and esterification are achieved by using homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts where metal ions act as Lewis acid. Some dinuclear complexes effectively catalyze the CN bond cleavage by the cooperative activation mechanism. In addition, low valent transition metal complexes serve as catalysts to cleave the amide CN bonds.
