A Contrastive Study of Chinese Dishes Translations between Overseas Chinese and Native Chinese

restaurantsseem very popular everywhere in the world.The translation of Chinese dishes into English by overseas Chinese plays an important role in the popularity of restaurants.By contrasting the dish names between overseas Chinese and domestic Chinese,this paper attempts to make a comparative analysis of translations of Chinese dishes into English and meanwhile to locate the corresponding translation skills involved therein.
