A fire alarm system is a system that includes signaling-alarm devices that automatically detect and communicate fire information. Fire alarm systems are designed to work in a variety of environments. They should be physically fit during the operation. This is defined by the assembled units' reliability and the operation process's rational management. As a result, Reliability and operational analysis of fire alarm systems is required. In the mathematical model investigated in this research article, a “Fire Alarm” system was evaluated for evaluation of its reliability parameters. The system configuration was created involving all steps that make up the entire process. These phases are referred to as “sub-units.” Because the entire process is made up of nine sub-units, solving the model utilizing approaches such as differential equations or Semi-Markov process will be cumbersome and may be unsolvable. The aim of this paper is to determine the reliability of fire alarm systems using Algebra of logics. The quantitative analysis focuses on a fire Alarm system which contains a three transistor, seven resistors including a potentiometer (VR1), one LED for signaling of working circuit, three capacitors, one timer IC555 which work as an astable multivibrator oscillator and a speaker or buzzer to produce sound. Such a dependability evaluation is necessary to assure the safety of safety–critical systems. The system and its sub-units were compared using a numerical example under two different lifetime distributions, the Weibull and exponential, which result in two different failure rates. In addition, the respective Mean Time to Failures for distinct failures were compared. The system configuration of such a system can be chosen based on the calculated result. This type of Reliability assessment is critical for ensuring the safety of critical systems. Both the risk reduction benefit and the side effect of utilizing a fire alarm system can be better understood using a reliability study of a fire alarm system.
