摘要
Renewable energy is considered a suitable alternative for the growing needs of energy demand in the country. The Iranian government recently announced that it plans to achieve 45 GW of solar capacity by 2030, of which 40 percent is expected to be dedicated to rooftop solar projects. One of these projects is a 50-kilowatt photovoltaic (PV) power plant on the roof of the central building of Tehran Electricity Distribution Company. This power plant produces 118.3 MWh/year of electricity annually and has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 4070 kg per month. Therefore, it can be effective in encouraging investment in the construction of these small power plants in the residential sector.
