Research progress in diseases of Panax notoginseng

Panax notoginseng (BurK.) F.H.Chen is a traditional and precious Chinese herbal medicine, mainly produced in Yunnan Province, China. In recent years, with the further expansion of Panax notoginseng planting scale, various diseases frequently occur, which seriously restricts the development of Panax notoginseng planting industry becoming the main factor affecting the yield and quality of Panax notoginseng. This review focuses on the research status of various diseases of Panax notoginseng, systematically sorts out the pathogens of various diseases of Panax notoginseng, summarizes the important progress in the prevention and control measures of various diseases of Panax notoginseng, and puts forward the bottleneck problems and solutions in the research field of Panax notoginseng disease resistance, it also proposes new development directions for future research on Panax notoginseng disease resistance, and provides a better theoretical basis with broader ideas for effective prevention and control of Panax notoginseng diseases.
