In article number 1801917, Minjoon Park, Jaephil Cho and co-workers demonstrate flexible 3D interlocking lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) with a one-step patterning process. This rigid structure enhances the mechanical strength of the cell, preventing the critical issues of flexible batteries such as delamination, electrode cracking and particle isolation. This study suggests that the 3D interlocking LIBs are suitable for highly deformable energy storage devices.
