摘要
Excessive use of persistent plastics for packaging materials has caused various serious problems to mankind. Bacterial polyhydroxyalkanoic acids are a complex family of naturally occurring thermoplastics and elastomers. They are completely biodegradable and can be produced from renewable resources and may provide an alternative material for some applications.
