摘要
• Stellite 6 reacted with CuO at 1200°C in pure argon to produce gases and oxides. • The oxides contain CoO, Cr 2 O 3 , SiO 2 , MnO 2 and CoCr 2 O 4 /NiCr 2 O 4 /Fe 3 O 4 . • Many defects exist at the interface between the Stellite 6 alloy and the oxide. • Excessive defects indicate a negligible adhesion between the oxide and Stellite 6. The interfacial reaction of Stellite 6 alloy with CuO at 1200 °C in pure argon was investigated. The bubbling phenomenon was observed during the reaction. The results show that the reaction produced solid oxides (CoO, Cr 2 O 3 , SiO 2 , MnO 2 and CoCr 2 O 4 /NiCr 2 O 4 /Fe 3 O 4 ) and pure copper, as well as possible CO and CO 2 gases. The product gases and oxides caused holes and cracks in the sample.
