摘要
The article focuses on the imminent nanotechnology and its vast applications in the field of forensic science. Here we used cost-effective, high-quality non-destructive magnetic nanoparticles for the development of fingerprints. These magnetic nanomaterials provide high-optical properties, magnetization, biocompatibility, and high saturation magnetization so that every minute detail can be drawn. And even low DNA toxicity, so that biological information of suspect can also be found. In this literature iron oxide nanoparticles-based magnetic powder provide perfect adherence on different surfaces, high contrast, and sensitivity. The current review paper covers both traditional and novel synthetic routes for producing iron oxide nanoparticles. Their properties, both modified and unmodified, as well as their effects on improving latent fingerprints, have also been discussed.
