Allgöwer-Donati suture: A technique to preserve skin microcirculation in dermatologic surgery

Closure of wounds on lower legs presents a challenge given high tension due to absence of tissue laxity and reduced tissue perfusion. While traditional techniques like vertical or horizontal mattress sutures provide skin eversion, they may result in decreased tissue oxygenation and complications such as wound edge necrosis, dehiscence, and infection.
