Time Perception and Anxiety

This paper aimed to (1) study the relationship between time perception and two levels of anxiety, (2) raise a methodological question about the measurement of time perception, and (3) measure the stability of production interval estimates. (1) 8 patients with high anxiety demonstrated greater distortions of time perception than 9 with low anxiety, (2) the choice of interval between 15 and 90 sec. was not important, and (3) the time production method is fairly stable but was affected by changes in anxiety for 5 Ss.
