摘要
With the further research of artificial synaptic transistors, there are increasing interests in eco-friendly electronics that are biocompatible and biodegradable. There are also moving ions in the albumen and a variety of hydrophilic groups promoting the mobility of ions. Therefore, albumen-gate based synaptic transistors have been proposed. Here, the albumen-based electrolyte film shows strong electrostatic modulation behavior with electric double-layer capacitance of ∼3.8 μF cm−2 at 1 Hz. The synaptic transistor exhibits a high on/off ratio of ∼9.2 × 105 and good electrical stability. Especially, the basic function of biological synapses has been simulated, including excitatory postsynaptic current and paired-pulse facilitation. And short-term synaptic plasticity was mimicked on the proposed bioinspired neuromorphic transistor. The results indicate that the proposed synaptic transistor gated by albumen has great potential applications in 'green' neuromorphic platforms.
