Pyridines and Their Benzo Derivatives: Reactivity of Substituents

Abstract This article covers the general reactivity of pyridines and their benzo derivatives at the ring substituents. The organization of the chapter generally follows that used in Chapter 7.03 of CHEC-III and covers the literature of the period 2008–18. Topics covered are organized according to the atom attached to the heterocyclic ring systems, such as C-linked, O-linked, N-linked, S-linked, halogens, Se-linked, and Si-linked substituents. Each topic is divided according to the type of group of transformation being discussed.
