摘要
We read with interest the article by Santos et al. 1 Santos M. Corma-Gómez A. Fernandez-Fuertes M. González-Serna A. Rincón P. Real L.M. et al. Burden of significant liver damage in people living with HIV after microelimination of the hepatitis C virus. J Infect. 2023; 86: 41-46 Abstract Full Text Full Text PDF PubMed Scopus (2) Google Scholar about the burden of significant liver damage in people living with HIV (PLHIV) after achieving HCV microelimination. The residual liver disease following curative direct-acting antiviral therapy (DAA) HCV treatment is a concern, which calls for screening and early treatment of PLHIV at high risk of infection, notably men who have sex with men (MSM). We conducted a study to evaluate the potential impacts of HCV test-and-treat strategies and model the prospect of microelimination of HCV in HIV-positive MSM.
