Electrochemical Engineering

The paper describes the main features of electrochemical engineering in relation to the evolution of other disciplines. The observed diversification of the topics investigatedis also related to the challenges of our society e.g. large-scale production, energy, environment protection. Electrochemical engineering will have to respond to the future citizen's needs, using both for this purpose the concepts formerly developed by engineers and the tools offered by the new technologies.
