摘要
Producing accurate ship tracks from multi-source automated data fusion in near real time is a difficult but very important task of designing an effective system for maritime security. The QuIPS project funded by the Office of the Secretary of Defence (OSD) is to develop an automated data fusion capability for littoral environments, which includes very shallow water from depths of 300 m to the shoreline. The QuIPS specific objective is to accurately track surface ships in the crowded littoral environments by accurately using heterogeneous sources, which include national sensor satellite data, as well as local sensors, such as radar. This paper describes the initial capabilities developed in this project.
