摘要
In November 2020, the Japan Gas Association published the “Carbon Neutral Challenge 2050” as a vision to contribute to the decarbonization of society by transforming city gas supply to be carbon neutral. One of the key technologies is “e-methane” production. Given Japan’s geographical circumstance, introduction of e-methane is practical solution to contribute to the decarbonization of the entire country at a lower social cost by using supply chain which is already exist, covering from LNG plants to burner tips. During transition period, challenge is to harmonize rules for count and allocation of GHGs in the supply chain. A platform is also needed to manage tracking information of certified environmental value.
