摘要
Arginine−glycine−aspartic acid (RGD), a cell recognition motif present in many extracellular proteins, binds with integrin to regulate cell adhesion and many other cellular processes. Stable attachment of synthetic RGD peptides to polymers is essential to its use in promoting cell adhesion. This chapter reviews various techniques to immobilize RGD on polymers, and the application of RGD modified polymers in tissue engineering.
