摘要
We read with interest the article by Alvær Vinje et al. [ [1] Alvær Vinje C, Nyre Vigmostad M, Kjosavik SR, Grönberg H, Gilje B, Skeie S. Prostate biopsies can be omitted in most patients with a positive Stockholm3 test and negative prostate magnetic resonance imaging. Eur Urol Focus. In press. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.euf.2023.08.009. Google Scholar ] on the possibility of omitting biopsy for patients with a positive Stockholm3 (STHLM3) blood test and negative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) results. The authors’ intention to reduce overdiagnosis is commendable. However, several points regarding their conclusions and the Stockholm3 risk stratification need further exploration.
