STEM detectives-exploring STEM concepts through play

As we look out across the room with children at play, what do we see? Some children are collaboratively building a city with blocks, cars, animals, people, roads, bridges, tunnels, and houses-one child painting at the easel, looking closely at the brush rinsing water. Outside we see children repeatedly going down the slide, while others are playing in the mud kitchen, mixing and pouring. Another child is closely following a line of ants.
