Cerebriform Plaques in Proteus Syndrome

A young male presented to our hospital with cerebriform plaques on both soles. The lesion appeared since birth and grew progressively. He was born from nonconsanguineous parents, with no family history of similar abnormalities. Prominent cerebriform plantar hyperplasia was noticed on examination (Figure A-C). Skeletal deformities included macrodactyly of the hands and feet with lateral deviation of the affected fingers, disproportionate overgrowth of the right extremity, and thoracolumbar scoliosis.
