摘要
This paper presents the design of an aperture-shared large frequency-ratio multi-beam transmit-array (TA) antenna working in the Sub-6GHz and millimeter-wave(mmW) bands. The TA antenna consists of an aperture-shared TA and a set of corresponding feeds. The mmW units is contained within the Sub-6GHz unit, and these two types of units barely affect each other's transmission performance. A prototype comprises three TAs has been fabricated and measured to verify the proposed design. The test results indicate that the beams of TA antenna can cover the range of ±28°, the mmW peak gain is up to 25.3 dBi at 24.5 GHz, and the Sub-6GHz peak gain is up to 13.2 dBi at 5.7 GHz. The overall bandwidth of mmW i.e.,|S11| < -10dB and the 3 dB gain bandwidth, is 22.5~26.5GHz, and that of the Sub-6GHz is 5.3~5.9GHz. For 5G wireless systems, the proposed multi-beam TA can be a good competitor.
