摘要
The energy extracted from a wind turbine rotor depends strongly upon the energy contained in the wind itself as well as how efficient the turbine could extract it. As already presented shortly in Chap. [REF Prev Chapter], blades are a part of the turbine mainly responsible for extracting the energy. In this chapter, the fundamental aerodynamics of the wind turbine blade will be discussed and presented to the readers. In the first part of the chapter, two-dimensional aerodynamic analysis of the blade section is given. This includes the consideration of the viscous and unsteady effects that may occur during wind turbine operation. Furthermore, three-dimensional effects occurring on the flow surrounding the blade near the blade root and tip areas are to be elaborated in this chapter.
