摘要
Data on the influence of the intensity of illumination and photoperiod length on the growth of green algae (Selenastrum gracile, Desmodesmus brasiliensis, and Scenedesmus obtusus), and also on the content of chlorophyll a and carotenoids in their cells, are given in the paper. It has been found that the response of the studied species of Chlorophyta to changes in the studied light parameters is species-specific. It has been shown that the increase in the duration of dark period favored the growth of the studied species of green algae. The specific content of chlorophyll a and carotenoids did not coincide with the maximal increase in algal biomass.
