摘要
Availability of picosecond and sub-picosecond light pulses from lasers has opened entirely new fields of study of picosecond phenomena. In spite of new, ultra-fast, channelplate oscilloscopes and fast detectors, the only recording system capable of yielding the picosecond temporal history of one spatial dimension remains the ultra-fast streak camera. Streak cameras with fiberoptics inputs are capable of normalizing and.recording a variety of optical signals with bandwidths far exceeding any present or projected oscilloscope.
