Electrocatalysis: A Thin NiFe Hydroxide Film Formed by Stepwise Electrodeposition Strategy with Significantly Improved Catalytic Water Oxidation Efficiency (Adv. Energy Mater. 9/2017)
A fast and simple stepwise electrodeposition is adopted to make an ultra-thin and reticular NiFe hydroxide film with a high efficiency in electrocatalytic water oxidation. The resulting film is very thin and transparent, delivering promising applications in photovoltaic devices. The turnover frequency of the film for the oxygen evolution reaches up to 8.7 s−1 at an overpotential of 329 mV. This is reported by Rui Cao and co-workers in article number 1602547.
