Ferritinophagy in vascular endothelial cells regulated by nanoparticles may benefit the prevention of atherosclerosis and in-stent restenosis

• Targeting to vascular endothelial cells (VEC) may be helpful for the surface modification of atherosclerosis (AS) and ISR. • Nanoparticles in modulating ferroptosis may unveil a novel therapeutic direction for AS and ISR by regulating VEC. • Hope this correspondence will facilitate the design, research and application of ferritinophagy-targeted therapy in CVD.
