摘要
In article number 2002292, Xinwen Peng, Jun Lu, and co-workers report the design of mechanically flexible carbon monoliths with much enhanced electrocatalytic activity, which facilitate gas/electrolyte diffusion channels as a novel 3D air electrode. Wood-derived cellulose nanofibers combined with graphene are used to construct an integrated porous carbon aerogel by directional freeze-casting and multiple modification. With its superb ORR and OER activity, this material shows remarkable performance as the free-standing air cathode in energy-storage systems, including flow metal–air batteries and flexible solid-state metal–air batteries.
