In this paper, we delve into reliability characterization for the luminance degradation of OLED device considering color difference index based on the usage patterns. Accelerated aging tests were conducted and then the usage patterns (viewing contents) were taken accounted for the power model to evaluate lifetime. This method enables to provide a practical lifetime prediction on color shifts induced display image degradation at different Gray levels, since different individual components of Red (R), Green (G), and Blue (B) have different degradation rate associated with the usage patterns. Using the color coordinate CIE 1931 (Δx, Δy), the just‐noticeable difference (JND) index is adopted to quantitatively assess color difference as an objective judgment with a perceivable recognition. Such approach will render a consistent management over color difference and, thus, facilitate product color performance and field reliability.
