Cobalt-based zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (Co-ZIF) have attracted intensive interest in multivariate applications because of their high specific surface area and presence of great active sites. At present, most of the reviews on ZIF-67 focus on electrocatalysis and degradation. This review mainly discusses the application of ZIF-67 and its derivatives in photocatalysis to fill the gap in this field. The structural properties of ZIF-67 and the preparation methods of ZIF-67-derived materials are firstly introduced. Subsequently, we summarize the strategies to improve the photocatalytic performance of ZIF-67, such as ion doping, construction of heterojunctions, and solution etching. Thirdly, the recent applications of ZIF-67 and its derivatives in photocatalysis, such as CO2 reduction, H2 production, degradation, and antibacterial are discussed. Finally, the Review summarizes the current development status of ZIF-67 in photocatalysis and provides an outlook on its future development trend and development constraints.
