The Impact of Economic Development on Higher Education : An Empirical Study of the Mediating Effect Model of Education Investment by Stata Software Analysis

The level of higher education is closely related to economic development and educational investment, all of which are important research indicators for one country's development. This research aims to explore the impact of economic development on higher education, using Stata software, and using the national provincial panel data from 2005 to 2019 in China, and with a linear regression model, to explore the mediating effect of educational investment. Empirical research shows that economic development has a significant positive impact on higher education, and educational investment has a significant mediating effect. This research puts forward corresponding policy recommendations based on the above research results. This research proposes that government should vigorously develop the regional economy, increase investment in education, and attach importance to higher education.
