Iodine(iii)-mediated oxidative chlorination, bromination and iodination of chromone derivatives using alkyl halides as the solvent and halogen source

A protocol for iodine( iii )-mediated oxidative chlorination, bromination and iodination of chromone derivatives has been developed using alkyl halide solvents such as CHCl 3 , CH 2 Br 2 and CH 2 I 2 as the halogen source.
