Vitamin B1 (thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP)) and B6 (pyridoxal 5'- phosphate (PLP)) deficiencies pose significant health risks. The current measurement method employs High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), though, Liquid Chromatography with tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) is considered a more sensitive and selective analytical method. However, there is a lack of LC-MS/MS-based reference intervals. Moreover, none of the existing reference intervals are established in Danish populations.
