摘要
Quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QDLEDs) have many excellent properties, such as wet-heat stability, efficiency close to unit brightness, high color purity, and solution preparation ability. All these characteristics make QDLEDs a new generation of displays with perfect color and realistic brightness. The current QDLEDs must use blue backlight to emit red, green, and blue light through the color conversion layer composed of red and green QDs. This chapter reviews the research progress of blue QDs, including the luminescent characteristics and device performance of high-efficiency cadmium-containing blue QDs. It focuses on the blue-emitting QDs used for QDLED applications. The chapter reviews and analyzes the most suitable blue QD materials in terms of their composition, quantum yield, full width at half maximum, the lifetime, environmental effects, and QDLED device characterizations.
