Abstract Advanced glucose biosensors are highly desired for rapid, reliable and cost‐effective sensing of glucose. This work reports on a self‐powered glucose biosensor (SPGB) composed of a Cu anode and a glucose oxidase/Prussian blue/ITO biocathode. The SPGB is available for flow sensing of glucose, with a linear detection range of 0.10 and 1.20 mM, a high sensitivity of 35.62 μA ⋅ cm −2 ⋅ mM −1 and a detection limit of 14.34 μM (S/N=3). The SPGB is reproducible (RSD <5%) and has been successfully employed to determine glucose in juices with satisfactory recoveries (98–100 %).
