Electromagnetics Behind Shielding

Abstract The formulation of actual shielding problems in mathematical form is the first step of any shielding analysis. In this chapter, the main electromagnetics equations and theorems in both the frequency and time domains are presented for formulating and solving shielding problems in the most convenient way. Basic shielding mechanisms and the reciprocity theorem for an insight into the dual configurations exhibiting the source inside or outside the shielding configuration are also presented.
