摘要
Abstract Without an additional activator, the visible‐light‐catalyzed denitroalkylation of β ‐nitrostyrenes and alkyl boronic acids is reported. The efficient coupling of cyclic and secondary alkyl boronic acids with various aryl nitroolefins is realized, which gives aryl alkyl olefins in 47–87 % yields. A possible mechanism involving the fact that nitrite is released from β ‐nitrostyrene upon irradiation and further activates alkyl boronic acids to generate alkyl radicals is proposed based on control experiments and a literature survey.
