摘要
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide oxidase-4 (NOX-4) primarily mediates the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) to participate in the homeostasis, inflammatin, tissue repair, malignant transformation and so on.Oxidative stress brought by abberant NOX-4 is the common physiopathologic feature of different pulmonary diseases.This artide provide an overview on the differential regulatory mechanism and pathogenic mechanism of NOX-4 in pulmonary diseases such as acute lung injury, obstructive airway disease, interstital lung disease, pulmonary hypertension and non-small cell lung cancer by collecting the numerous data from experimental and clinical studies, looking forward to relevation of a promosing diagnostic and therapeutic candidate.
