Improperly stored bottles of Bu3P are invariably contaminated with tributylphosphine oxide and butyl dibutylphosphinate. Handling, Storage, and Precautions: can be stored at room temperature indefinitely under an inert atmosphere. Oxygen should be rigorously excluded to avoid free radical chain oxidation.
