摘要
In response to the article "Spirulina- From Growth to Nutritional Product: A Review" by Soni et al. (2017), we show the relevance of the overlooked contribution of indigenous people to the discovery of plants used as food. An update about the nomenclature of the important alga Spirulina (Limnospira fusiformis) is provided.
