摘要
A Li2TiO3 modified LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 cathode material is prepared by a novel coating method of Li2TiO3 nanoparticles. Compared with a coated material prepared by synchronous lithiation, this coated material shows an unchanged LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 bulk structure and a dramatically reduced lithium residue amount on the surface. As a result, the electrochemical performance of this coated material is improved markedly, especially for the cycling stability at an elevated temperature (60°C), at which the capacity retention after 200 cycles at a rate of 1 C is 91.32%. The performance enhancement for this coated material can be mainly contributed to the less formation of a solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer and a lower degree of structural changes during cycling.
