摘要
Wearable and flexible sensors and biosensors are widely explored in research and industry. Smartwatches, smartphones, and smart electronics as wearable sensors are widely used for monitoring health and environmental changes with wireless communications. This chapter summarizes nanomaterials and structure developments for various types of wearable stretchable strain/pressure sensors. It discusses approaches to improve the sensitivity and performance of wearable strain/pressure sensors and their applications in wearable electronics. Strain/pressure sensors measure deformation and pressure stimuli and collect data and mechanical properties. Different types of flexible and wearable strain/pressure sensors with various sensing mechanisms can be categorized into piezoresistive, piezoelectric, capacitive, and triboelectric sensors. Wearable strain pressure sensors have extensively been used to monitor human movements and body motions in daily life. Strain/pressure sensors are mounted on the skin or embedded/integrated with textiles for real-time health monitoring of body motions, heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure, and pulse oxygenation.
