This was the first head-to-head comparison between two tapering strategies—biological versus conventional in rheumatoid arthritis. The final results favour tapering tumour necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFis) before conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (csDMARDs).
