Synthesis and structural features of indium(iii) furan-2-thiocarboxylates showing efficient catalytic activity toward multicomponent reactions via Knoevenagel condensation
Furan-2-thiocarboxylate complexes of In( iii ) were synthesized. Partial Hydrolysis of a complex led to the first In( iii ) complex with a hydrosulfide ligand. A thioester was obtained serendipitously. Complexes were used as catalysts for Knoevenagel and Knoevenagel initiated MCRs.
