The propagation characteristics of sea seismic wave (SSSW) in different underwater media are different. This study mainly focuses on the propagation characteristics of SSSW in different underwater media to improve the detection ability of SSSW mines. The propagation of SSSW in different underwater media, including clay, sandy clay, sandstone, mudstone, hard stone, and dolomite, is simulated using the staggered grid finite difference method. The dispersive energy maps of different underwater media are extracted using the f-k dispersive energy extraction method. Compared with the results of Scholte wave dispersion characteristic equations, the simulation results are consistent with the theoretical results. At the same time, the attenuation law of the SSSW train is obtained. The results provide a theoretical basis for developing SSSW mine fuses.
