Significant differences in subcortical volumes, cortical thickness and surface area have been shown in individuals with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) compared to controls. Both propensity to OCD and variability in brain morphometry are influenced by genetic factors. These genetic influences typically have a polygenic architecture and can be quantified using polygenic risk scoring (PRS) methods. In this study, we aimed to assess whether PRS for OCD predicts subcortical volumes in brain regions of interest, cortical thickness and surface area amongst individuals with OCD and controls.
