摘要
The Heart holds a paramount role in the body. It generates an electrical impulse which can be recorded by placing the electrodes on the body to catch the impulse. Since Ages, everyone has been witnessing increasing heart diseases Such as Heart Arrhythmias, Heart Failure, Heart Valve Disease, and Pericardial Disease. To predict the early stages of these diseases, doctors started using the ECG (Electrocardiograph). It helps the doctor to find the timing information of fast heart rate or slow heart rate. However, the ECG signal includes various noises caused by muscle movements or Artifacts. Because of these noises, there is a problem in accurate interpretation of the ECG signal. Mainly ECG signal consists of low frequency (0-100Hz) as opposed to high frequency noise. Different types of digital filters are used to filter out the low-frequency noise from the ECG signal. In this paper, a brief survey on the types of noise sources that commonly corrupts the ECG signal and the techniques employed to remove them is presented.
