摘要
With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, the designs for small household smart furniture are appearing as an emerging need, but most of which are focusing on the mechanical and functional issues while less attention is paid to the emotional experiences of users. The purpose of this paper is to explore the emotional design strategies of smart furniture in small-sized residential spaces in order to improve the practical value of the design and enhance the user experience of smart furniture for small household. In this paper, qualitative research is the main research strategy, and literature review, field research method, and case study method are used to review and analyze the small household smart furniture, and three types of small household smart furniture corresponding to the theoretical hierarchical framework of emotional design are derived, and according to the above theoretical hierarchical framework of emotional design, corresponding design strategies are given to the three levels of emotional design of small residential smart furniture.
