Dual Containment: Conception, Evolution, and Implementation

In this chapter the details of the foreign policy of dual containment, its introduction, and its implementation in the 1990s are examined. US policy toward Iran and Iraq developed in different ways in the decade in question necessitating a detailed study of the resulting shifts and alterations in policy.
